Healing Center Daring Discussions

About:

Originating from the Woman’s March, the Healing Center Daring Discussion Potluck is a place for people of all backgrounds and beliefs to come together to discuss issues facing our community. Too often we are stuck ‘preaching to the choir’ and too worried to have honest or inclusive conversations with those with opposing political views. Daring Discussions breaks down those walls and allows challenging yet important conversations to occur with people of all political beliefs and socio-economic backgrounds to occur.

We discuss current political issues facing our country that cause many to feel they should ‘walk on eggshells’ when these topics are brought up. These issues include; sexism, transphobia, racism, environmental needs (climate and science denial), classism, ableism, sexual misconduct, xenophobia, and many more. An associated art project will assist in breaking down barriers and bringing people together.

Please bring a neighbor/friend and a dish you and become part of this important movement to break down barriers and unite our community.

Let’s break down barriers- together.
